CCTV Calc — privacy policy
Effective October 31, 2026
CCTV Calc collects no data. The app has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it makes no network connections of its own. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
Purchases and the free trial
The free trial and CCTV Calc Pro are in-app purchases handled by Apple through the App Store, under Apple's terms and Apple's privacy policy. The app asks Apple's StoreKit only whether this Apple Account has started the trial or bought Pro, and which version of the app was first downloaded (anyone who bought the app before it was free to download keeps Pro). Those answers stay on your device. The developer receives no personal information from a purchase, and the app sends no receipts or purchase details anywhere.
What stays on your device
The jobs you save (camera groups, devices, lenses, notes), your own cameras and your settings (units, appearance, theme, language) are stored only on the device, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them. If you use iCloud device backup, Apple backs them up with the rest of your device under Apple's terms; the app itself does not use iCloud.
Sharing
When you share a report as text, PDF or CSV, iOS's share sheet hands the file to the app you choose. What that app does with it is governed by that app's privacy policy.
Ratings
The app may ask, through Apple's standard prompt, whether you would like to rate it. That prompt is Apple's; the app receives nothing from it.
Children
The app is a professional tool and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. The October 31, 2026 version adds the section on purchases and the free trial. Questions: ljna2714@proton.me.
